The Library is open from Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 15.00, during July and August and from 09.00 to 13.00, 14.00 to 17.00 during the rest of the year, for research and general enquiries. Guided visits are available on request. Visits for large parties (more than 5) can be accommodated by prior arrangements with the Librarian.

The Library is located in Governor’s Parade, directly opposite the O'Callaghan Eliott Hotel. The entrance is situated on Library Ramp, which is located on the left hand side of the building.

From the main shopping street, coming from the direction of Casemates Square, pass Marks and Spencer, then take the next turning left into Library Street (there is a signpost) and walk up the hill. At the T junction, cross the road: the Library wall is facing you. Bear left then turn right into Library Ramp. The entrance to the front gardens is through the large metal gates on the right. Enter the building using the second black door on the left.
